I once went to a gallery, it was in the 60's :-) and they'd painted stripes
of blue in various thicknesses around the walls.

I thought it looked dreadful.

The walls at the New Gallery in Walsall are a light cream colour anf they
have had rave reviews stating that it is now a world class gallery.

Being able to see a Van Gogh drawing there very closely is a wonderful
experience.

Hi,

I would agree for the most part but some deep darker colors look equally
good. My advise is when you out looking for artwork take a spot of your wall
color with you and if shopping for wall color and you already have art work
take a pic (if you cant bring the artwork) and copare the colors.

Thanks

Phil....
